Please Excuse My Blog

Monday, December 21, 2009

I must apologize for the blog of late... I have been working on it in between preparing for Christmas, a house full of visitors, harvest that seems to be going on forever and the impending new year preparations... groan! I have been wanting to add a third column for a while and have only just worked out how to add the elusive extra column (finally done) plus change the header etc, it's definitely been a work in progress but I think I have it complete! Just wish I could get some scrapping done, how I miss it!

Feeling Special!

When I decided to dabble into the world of scrapbooking (coming up to my first anniversary) I never imagined that a 'hobby' would lead me to making some rather special friends all over the globe. I am truly touched to have received a 'blog award' from the very talented Ingeborg. Thank you for the award and your inspiration!

Now, on receiving this award I must mention five things that I love, which are:
  1. My husband, my rock!
  2. The loves of my life... my two beautiful children
  3. My mother, she has always believed in me!
  4. My Besties... you know who you are!
  5. Craft of any variety!
I am going to pass this award on to some very worthy recipients:
  1. Watty - My 'wingman'...you are fabulous!
  2. Marg - You are my inspiration and a very dear friend!
  3. Miss Helen - The card queen, you are truly talented and you make me laugh!
  4. Miss Clare - Your clever, creative, honest and a breath of fresh air!
  5. Nic - My way of saying thanks and because no one works harder than you!

What a Cracker...

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Christmas is at our house again this year and I've decided that I'm going to make most of the table decorations. I've been looking around at Christmas bon bons (crackers) and they all seem to contain horrible party hats and plastic toys that get thrown away as soon as they are opened... not to mention the sheet of jokes we've all heard before. So last night I dragged out the packet of cracker inserts (the sticks that make them go 'bang') that I bought last year and sat down and made some bon bons using Imaginisce 'Polar Expressions' and filled them with scrumptious Lindt chocolates (my all time favourite). If you would like to create your own bon bons then take a look at the following link as it has a template that you can download (it's not the one I used but is very similar) ... http://www.groovychocolate.com/laydowns/…

The cards are rolling in...

Christmas cards are starting to arrive in the post so I thought I'd better get a move-on and finish my own. I've made these three cards using my new Polar Expressions range from Imaginisce and their 'groovy' i-top tool... so much fun, even caught my husband having a little play!

How cute are these?

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

Imaginice have just released two gorgeous designs 'Lucy Bird' and 'Scooter's Vacation' so be on the look out as they will be hitting stores in the coming weeks!!
Lucy Bird is so pretty and feminie in bright, girlie colours with the cutest little bird. And as for Scooters Vacation... I personally cannot wait for this to come out because I love the fresh colour combination of red, white, aqua and green. And how groovy are the little scooters and the caravans, not to mention the wee doggy!
For a quick sneak peak take a look at some of the new creations from these two ranges at the Imaginisce Gallery!
