It's never too hot for soup...

Saturday, November 24, 2012

Well Summer has finally kicked in as today is our first hot day for November topping almost 40 degrees Celcius (104 Farenheit), so I hope its the start of many a hot day to come! And although it's hot, I've got some soup to share... Jillibean Soup that is!

I just love how each collection has a unique soup label so it makes life easy when identifying each collection... although it does make me hungry! This layout uses a combination of Coconut Lime Soup and Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup.

I love this photo of my 'silly' daughter as it reminds me of the day we spent cleaning up the sticks in the paddocks so the farmer could prepare the ground for sowing. We had such a wonderful time and although there was allot of hilarity going on, we still managed to get the job done.

I would love to say that I cut the sun using my newly purchased Silhouette Cameo (a birthday present to myself) but it hasn't left it's box yet. Still hand cutting my shapes!

I have been so inspired by all the Subway Art that is floating around Pinterest and although this isn't technically correct, it suited what I needed for the layout. The hand stitching was used to visually separate the rows so they didn't blend into each other.

Still love using my punches... the little retro flower punch continues to be my favourite, although the little picket fence punch would come in a close second.

Would love for you to pop over to the Jillibean Soup blog HERE to check out all the wonderful layouts from more of the Jillibean Soup Design Team.

From farm to you...

  3. Yes, I agree. Your scrapbooking is SO perfect!! This is just adorable!!! I am glad to see your little flower punch is still going strong. :) I love the sprinkling of them on here. I love how you used the different colors/fonts for your title. That song is one I used to sing to Ben. Ben has been singing it to me lately. :) I will take your 104 degrees to my 4 above with the windchill factor. ;)
