Have you ever thought about storing your patterned paper left overs in large zip lock bags and keeping similar colors together? I have</span><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> always stored my paper remnants in clear bags for easy access and also to see exactly what I have available when creating a layout like Friends Forever!</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333;">All the strips of paper are from various Jillibean collections yet they all merge seamlessly when placed together in the one design.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}" style="background-color: white; color: #333333;"> At first when I laid the strips down they basically sat flat and didn't really achieve the look I was hoping for. So I roughed up the overlapping edge and curled it up slightly which gave it more dimension and appeal.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">I am so in love with this new multi colour thread I found in a local store in town, so much so that I bought just about every colour combination they had. <span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif;">I hand-stitched the sun’s rays and filled the inside with a rainbow collage made from punched patterned paper circles and embellished with Puffy Stickers and Shape Shaker Fillers.</span><br />

Actually, the photos dictated this design as I just loved the sequence of shots my littlest man and I had taken when we were attempting a selfie of his painted face. I just didn't want to leave any of the photos out as they told a story of how much fun we were having at this particular moment in time.<br />

Dressing up yes, putting on weird make-up yes but nothing to do with door knocking and collecting sweets from neighbours. However, that does not mean I can't use a Halloween themed collection like 'Pumpkin Party' on a layout, especially if the colours are perfect.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YsHLxOyQcqE/W8sAnBQq4fI/AAAAAAAAL_4/yZ88YgCGxr0KGq9lDkpCcBEPvImn8pjqQCLcBGAs/s1600/Mad%2BMonday%2BLayout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="904" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YsHLxOyQcqE/W8sAnBQq4fI/AAAAAAAAL_4/yZ88YgCGxr0KGq9lDkpCcBEPvImn8pjqQCLcBGAs/s640/Mad%2BMonday%2BLayout.jpg" width="632" /></a></div>
My daughter recently finished her football year and it's tradition to celebrate 'Mad Monday' after the season finishes. So, this year her groups of friends wanted to dress as Minions, and my daughter took it one step further and dressed as the 'Purple Minion'. She looked so cute!<br />

I purchased a pair of fringing scissors recently so worked on a layout style that would allow me to give them a go. The new Petite Prints worked perfectly as I was able to choose the same pattern but run with different colors down my heart shape to create the fringed backdrop for the photo.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bofOwkrn6jo/W8aZNWB_kZI/AAAAAAAAL_I/UCWj1Cl0LYUaEBTvc0S5XOF_RlFOhWswwCLcBGAs/s1600/Mad%2BMonday%2B-%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="585" data-original-width="900" height="416" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bofOwkrn6jo/W8aZNWB_kZI/AAAAAAAAL_I/UCWj1Cl0LYUaEBTvc0S5XOF_RlFOhWswwCLcBGAs/s640/Mad%2BMonday%2B-%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
I just adore this tiny floral on the Petite Prints and the flip side is just as cute with a gorgeous grid pattern. And yes, those two objects are buttons!!! I say a big 'yes' to bringing back the humble button on layouts and cards, which is why I was really excited to see the 'Spooky Town Boutique Button Assortment' as part of this Halloween collection. </div>

I journaled around the heart using up my Doodlebug Candy Shoppe tiny rub-ons... I'm getting close to running out of this staple so will be sad when I have to go back to hand writing. I hope I've given you inspiration for putting together a fun non-Halloween layout using our Pumpkin Party collection and the new Petite Prints.<br />

Welcome to Day 19 of "25 Days of Christmas Tags" - I'm delighted to be part of this wonderful concept created by <a href="http://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.com/">Tracey McNeely</a>. So, if you are visiting here for the first time you can find all the link up details and entry information <a href="https://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.com/2018/10/the-25-days-of-christmas-tags-2018-main.html">HERE</a>.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Aul0E0ZM1L4/W_I-1PN_8qI/AAAAAAAAMGY/lENfOUCbTZICJzEKYxLTN4jNCxFJ9cCdgCLcBGAs/s1600/25DaysTagsRedChristmas.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="840" data-original-width="1442" height="233" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Aul0E0ZM1L4/W_I-1PN_8qI/AAAAAAAAMGY/lENfOUCbTZICJzEKYxLTN4jNCxFJ9cCdgCLcBGAs/s400/25DaysTagsRedChristmas.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Today's sponsor is <a href="http://www.jillibean-soup.com/">Jillibean Soup</a> and as one of their design team members I'm honoured to be participating with a little tag I created just for today's event.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sBL0IXFg7tw/W_JAK3kpt-I/AAAAAAAAMGk/fcfrsz-17IEKIYbHWfxfvWvRwKgy6bmlQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BTags%2B-%2BJillibean%2BSoup%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sBL0IXFg7tw/W_JAK3kpt-I/AAAAAAAAMGk/fcfrsz-17IEKIYbHWfxfvWvRwKgy6bmlQCLcBGAs/s640/Christmas%2BTags%2B-%2BJillibean%2BSoup%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My tag was actually inspired by the <a href="http://www.jillibean-soup.com/retail/index.php?route=product/category&path=269">Shape Shaker Program</a> from Jillibean Soup as I really loved the <a href="http://www.jillibean-soup.com/retail/index.php?route=product/product&path=269_271&product_id=1553">Star Shaker</a> and thought it would make a lovely addition to the top of a Christmas tree. I used the <a href="http://www.jillibean-soup.com/retail/index.php?route=product/product&path=269_270&product_id=1567">Star Shaker Card</a> and cut it down to size for use as the tag front before adding the <a href="http://www.jillibean-soup.com/retail/index.php?route=product/product&path=269_271&product_id=1553">Star Shaker</a> and filling it with Shaker Filler - <a href="http://www.jillibean-soup.com/wholesale/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1807">Wood Veneer Stars</a> and blue sequin stars.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0Wr1u0qqcmU/W_JPwpSuTeI/AAAAAAAAMHE/ajOXdcHkmY0QSG3sYpAdmCUe1Wn3lQODQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_6740%2B%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="800" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0Wr1u0qqcmU/W_JPwpSuTeI/AAAAAAAAMHE/ajOXdcHkmY0QSG3sYpAdmCUe1Wn3lQODQCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_6740%2B%25281%2529.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And, as I've been rather addicted to hand stitching on my projects of late, I thought the little tree part of the tag would look really sweet in an ombre green/turquoise thread. It was also a perfect match for the brand new '<a href="http://www.jillibean-soup.com/wholesale/index.php?route=product/product&path=228&product_id=1762">All About Plaid 6x8 Paper Pad</a>' which I used the green and turquoise as a border edge for the tag.</div>

Yes, that's me saying 'hi' but also the name of the collection I've used for my layout. Hello from Doodlebug Design is a beautiful mix of bright and vibrant pinks and yellows through to the deep rich tones of turquoise and navy with the most beautiful addition of gold foil highlights... which just happened to be the perfect combination of color for this gorgeous photo of Miss Abigail Sandoval who recently celebrated her graduation. Yes, the name sounds familiar as she is the daughter of Cynthea Sandoval, owner and extraordinaire of Doodlebug Design.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I was so thrilled to receive a graduation announcement via snail mail (all the way to Australia) complete with this beautiful photo and I really wanted to create a layout to send back.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wdyTZ7N-5bY/WyJlUDhYkFI/AAAAAAAALg0/b7_wtdVNTuAsqyUBgyGsz4YR7o58_wONQCLcBGAs/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="474" data-original-width="600" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wdyTZ7N-5bY/WyJlUDhYkFI/AAAAAAAALg0/b7_wtdVNTuAsqyUBgyGsz4YR7o58_wONQCLcBGAs/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gVwn_IVq_M8/WyJlYRx2Q6I/AAAAAAAALhU/BrFYBOLfqBcU0nPXm-HILtibiVGjN-deQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="741" data-original-width="600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gVwn_IVq_M8/WyJlYRx2Q6I/AAAAAAAALhU/BrFYBOLfqBcU0nPXm-HILtibiVGjN-deQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Hello 'Odds & Ends' Pack has the wonderful addition of clear acetate pieces to give that extra lift to your embellishment clusters without detracting too much from the layout.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-auvlXrEg9EE/WyJzfMGn4AI/AAAAAAAALig/9nZO8uY3EuYRxo7m1ERpOyWG4qWuLW3pACLcBGAs/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="552" data-original-width="600" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-auvlXrEg9EE/WyJzfMGn4AI/AAAAAAAALig/9nZO8uY3EuYRxo7m1ERpOyWG4qWuLW3pACLcBGAs/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B5.jpg" /></a></div>

<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H3xlUjqYT4g/WyJlaewTV4I/AAAAAAAALhs/P4T9xedN098z6pGmc8hfFJ97VLPokaTQgCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="600" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H3xlUjqYT4g/WyJlaewTV4I/AAAAAAAALhs/P4T9xedN098z6pGmc8hfFJ97VLPokaTQgCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wgB9GPlDFn8/WyJlg1vMCjI/AAAAAAAALhk/Hu7SNeG4OSIy2R4sLz2a-iXHsmptK2rUwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="684" data-original-width="600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wgB9GPlDFn8/WyJlg1vMCjI/AAAAAAAALhk/Hu7SNeG4OSIy2R4sLz2a-iXHsmptK2rUwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BCloseup%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To make the lace overlay I uploaded the 'Hello' cut file 'Bouquet' into Silhouette Design Studio and played around with the flowers to form a circle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_HE_K5JE0vk/WyJp4xCGgtI/AAAAAAAALiU/3HY8nl-9Ufo1Y8ZFI5iXmULgC5hLXIVmgCLcBGAs/s1600/DB-Hello-Bouquet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1312" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_HE_K5JE0vk/WyJp4xCGgtI/AAAAAAAALiU/3HY8nl-9Ufo1Y8ZFI5iXmULgC5hLXIVmgCLcBGAs/s400/DB-Hello-Bouquet.jpg" width="325" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added an outer ring to hold it all together although I left the flower centres as separate pieces.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JlBFdZA1LsI/WyJpOe92GJI/AAAAAAAALiM/gWLEXJ4Zd9g2-35OWFfR_KIz2ogFqrjeACLcBGAs/s1600/Screen%2BShot%2B2018-06-14%2Bat%2B8.46.29%2Bam.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="629" data-original-width="600" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JlBFdZA1LsI/WyJpOe92GJI/AAAAAAAALiM/gWLEXJ4Zd9g2-35OWFfR_KIz2ogFqrjeACLcBGAs/s1600/Screen%2BShot%2B2018-06-14%2Bat%2B8.46.29%2Bam.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut four copies and mounted them on top of each other for dimension and height. To glue each layer together I used my Tombow glue pen as it was the only thing fine enough to place glue on the flower outlines.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-e_PgHLzpwIM/WyJogSk4ysI/AAAAAAAALh8/V7Kd8hoDVcYOHV245bprqNiU43350ldfQCLcBGAs/s1600/Graduation%2BStep%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="535" data-original-width="600" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-e_PgHLzpwIM/WyJogSk4ysI/AAAAAAAALh8/V7Kd8hoDVcYOHV245bprqNiU43350ldfQCLcBGAs/s1600/Graduation%2BStep%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next step was to cut 1" x 2" rectangles of various patterned papers from the Hello collection 6x6 paper pad that would match perfectly with the colors in the photo. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--j6oQcptqcg/WyJln_hGw6I/AAAAAAAALhs/23avhlyuqGEHmRflKJCQrJWw5HRvCWEhQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BStep%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="652" data-original-width="600" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--j6oQcptqcg/WyJln_hGw6I/AAAAAAAALhs/23avhlyuqGEHmRflKJCQrJWw5HRvCWEhQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BStep%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I proceeded to adhered them to the layout in a diagonal pattern to form the base for the lace overlay.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_krBHAaCRQA/WyJlpRplwyI/AAAAAAAALhw/wbCoDg5zDrALeRxgbRbz2F0gfY6ozR_rwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BStep%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_krBHAaCRQA/WyJlpRplwyI/AAAAAAAALhw/wbCoDg5zDrALeRxgbRbz2F0gfY6ozR_rwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Graduation%2BStep%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I attached the floral piece and the flower centres onto the patterned paper background and then added the outer ring cut from plain white cardstock to finish the design.</div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">I think I've badly neglected my blog as I realised I'm months behind with my posts so I'm going to sit here and schedule everything to catch up and then I won't feel so bad about being behind.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">This layout I created for when I was a guest designer at Jillibean Soup. I must admit I think it's one of my all time favourites.</span></div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
I used one of Jillibean Soup's new <a href="https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/269644" style="color: #003366; font-weight: bold; text-decoration-line: none;">Mandala</a> Cut Files and created a unique background for my layout. <div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
<strong>Step 1:</strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Open the Cut file and release the compound path and ungroup the image. Move the two smallest mandalas from each group to the side of your project for later use and cut the background square and largest mandalas. Delete those images once cut.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Continue cutting each set of the different size mandalas deleting them as you go. <strong>Important note</strong>: When closing your file, DO NOT hit save as you want to revert back to the original file.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
<strong>Step 3:</strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Adhere the cut square panel to the center of the layout but leave the edges free from adhesive. Using a paper piercing tool, poke holes around all four edges to be used for stitching.</div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
<strong>Step 4:</strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Layer the mandalas and glue together then adhere to your layout to fit perfectly in their corresponding shapes around the edges.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Hand stitching is not only a great way of attaching items to your projects, it also adds textures and interest. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get creative with the stitches by adding in some loops, beads and sequins.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Using adhesive tape stick the end of your thread to the back of your layout near the first hole to be stitched. Bring your needle through to the front and add some beads for the first stitch.</div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Again bring your needle through to the front and start twisting in around to make the thread twist then tie a very loose knot in your thread down near the hole. When you pass your needle through the hole the thread should get caught up and knot (this is what you need). Gently pull the needle completely through to the back but don’t pull tight so the knot remains in place. Then come through to the front again and add more beads or perhaps a sequin.</div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 10px;">
Work your way along the row adding loops, beads and sequins as you go. When you have finished take your thread through to the back and trim. Place a strip of adhesive tape all along the stitching to keep the knots from undoing and everything in place.</div>

It's definitely a balancing act and with a few simple tricks you can certainly add some fun and interest to your page without being too heavy handed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VoTZO60HQ4U/WuXB3vgsxTI/AAAAAAAALLQ/Sb584k6mxBYowXsTMv8xwCIXSEWS6T8LQCLcBGAs/s1600/Country%2BBoy%2BLayout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="653" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VoTZO60HQ4U/WuXB3vgsxTI/AAAAAAAALLQ/Sb584k6mxBYowXsTMv8xwCIXSEWS6T8LQCLcBGAs/s1600/Country%2BBoy%2BLayout.jpg" /></a></div>
For a start, it's always an idea to keep the background paper relatively plain if you are going to add allot of embellishments to your layout. I've chosen the soft chicken wire paper as it's relatively plain without being stark white. However, I did add three more sheets of patterned paper behind the chicken wire as I wanted a bordered effect to my layout that acted as a frame.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yupd4hWaHgY/WuXFkSJul6I/AAAAAAAALMA/KodUzE0JAv0qn1YLm7ZYIzWqMYVt4SBFwCLcBGAs/s1600/Country%2BBoy%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yupd4hWaHgY/WuXFkSJul6I/AAAAAAAALMA/KodUzE0JAv0qn1YLm7ZYIzWqMYVt4SBFwCLcBGAs/s1600/Country%2BBoy%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Apart from your photographs, journaling is the next most important thing on your layout as in years to come you won't remember the important details and dates of the photo. So, although it's important it doesn't need to be the first thing you see, which is why I printed my story on white card stock and used blue text to blend subtly into the background and allow the photo and heading to stand out with just a hint of added embellishments in the clouds, sun and little flies.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Xa_hnjXQe9s/WuXGg1t9jEI/AAAAAAAALMM/nBrpny3_LQsDVKLtoZYosLU1K9Jt-Z03wCLcBGAs/s1600/Country%2BBoy%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Xa_hnjXQe9s/WuXGg1t9jEI/AAAAAAAALMM/nBrpny3_LQsDVKLtoZYosLU1K9Jt-Z03wCLcBGAs/s1600/Country%2BBoy%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
I've always loved creating scenes on my layouts and the Chit Chat Embellishment pack from the Down On The Farm collection had every single piece and more to make the cutest little farm scape across the bottom of my layout. Now, there's no way you would normally be able to use this many single embellishments on your layouts, however, by overlapping every piece and giving it dimension I was able to blend it into one single panel that ran across the bottom of the layout without looking too busy.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lTmUNqPZSzk/WuXGjUX3-gI/AAAAAAAALMQ/dldg07vcaQgjvazKTs10DPkVsQyd_rMqQCLcBGAs/s1600/Cuontry%2BBoy%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lTmUNqPZSzk/WuXGjUX3-gI/AAAAAAAALMQ/dldg07vcaQgjvazKTs10DPkVsQyd_rMqQCLcBGAs/s1600/Cuontry%2BBoy%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
So from a glance the first thing your eye is drawn to is the photo and then it moves across to the journaling and then straight down to the farm scene at the bottom of the page which is the most aesthetic way to design your layouts. I usually draw a rough design before I begin and then work with my colors so that everything blends harmoniously. I hope I've given you some small tips to help you with your embellishing so you can add some fun to your next project in a way that's still pleasing to the eye and practical.<br />

Especially now that I have my very own little dog. I've always been a cat person until this little guy came to live with us and now he is my little shadow and friend that fills the void with having the kids at school and work.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TopBooUMtGs/Wv1VJsYK8TI/AAAAAAAALYI/L52coMHzuCgGC8RL1rCxuWYOcxT50XJwwCLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-2Cool-For-School-Pug-Layout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TopBooUMtGs/Wv1VJsYK8TI/AAAAAAAALYI/L52coMHzuCgGC8RL1rCxuWYOcxT50XJwwCLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-2Cool-For-School-Pug-Layout.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
When my very first design team box arrived from Jillibean Soup it didn't take me long to find the adorable pooch icon in amongst the 2 Cool For School collection so it got me thinking that it was time I did another layout for Dusty!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TdZoEK-IAR0/Wv1ZLr9WJdI/AAAAAAAALYY/y5l-QJjZdDoxu0bNDhNg-MtumVvxpBuPwCLcBGAs/s1600/ltyOq%252BsVTKGbaQdi%2525nvBrA.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TdZoEK-IAR0/Wv1ZLr9WJdI/AAAAAAAALYY/y5l-QJjZdDoxu0bNDhNg-MtumVvxpBuPwCLcBGAs/s640/ltyOq%252BsVTKGbaQdi%2525nvBrA.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
I drew a rough sketch of how I wanted the design to look and at first I was going to use Jillibean's paw cut file with patterned paper and adhere to the page to make the paw. However, I wasn't happy with how it was looking so I ended up using the paw as a template to create stitching holes around the layout and grabbed my new ombre thread that just happened to be the perfect color combination. Speaking of stitching, I also added some faux stitching using a white pen along patterned paper strips which is a much quicker way of adding that stitched look without having to thread a needle. Let's just say, after doing the paw I was all stitched out!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BPw_lKrmtmI/Wv1aQNGmOjI/AAAAAAAALYg/h4mtZndDfwgolLg2gegevm8cp2U1rpVxwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_3689.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BPw_lKrmtmI/Wv1aQNGmOjI/AAAAAAAALYg/h4mtZndDfwgolLg2gegevm8cp2U1rpVxwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_3689.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
I love to add lots of layers on my projects to add that feeling of depth and dimension plus the extra embellishments of sequins, wood pieces and puffy stickers add even more lift. Shaped paper clips are also an excellent way to focus on important words like the word 'bone' in my journaling!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/--zjFgWHmqPg/Wv1VWrp0tvI/AAAAAAAALYM/7aoa9FcdXpEiQpx5rCtMl7WszRFmxevmQCLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-2Cool-For-School-Pug-Closeup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/--zjFgWHmqPg/Wv1VWrp0tvI/AAAAAAAALYM/7aoa9FcdXpEiQpx5rCtMl7WszRFmxevmQCLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-2Cool-For-School-Pug-Closeup.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Tip: Journaling doesn't always have to be handwritten or even on white cardstock. I decided I really wanted to match the teal color from the patterned paper to also be the background color for my journaling. So I went to the Jillibean Soup website and saved a picture of the patterned paper I was using and then used that to select the color for my journaling.</div>

She has been asking for photos of us for quite some time and I kept forgetting so I thought a decor mobile with photos hung randomly would be something different and fun for her to place on her gallery wall. The wooden script word 'family' couldn't have been any more perfect for this occasion.<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ogc6ZHfwoY/WvXJLeUo_PI/AAAAAAAALPg/R2LTvbXlnYQIFnSbGmRH_3RnWP3WE4esQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Family-Decor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ogc6ZHfwoY/WvXJLeUo_PI/AAAAAAAALPg/R2LTvbXlnYQIFnSbGmRH_3RnWP3WE4esQCEwYBhgL/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Family-Decor.jpg" width="507" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Recently I was lucky to be part of a wonderful product swap with Jillibean Soup and Thermo-Web. I was instantly drawn to the gold foil from Thermo-Web as I thought it would compliment the rustic white paintwork on the wooden script word from Jillibean Soup that I had chosen to use.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WcbRHfnKxQM/WvXOTse7yCI/AAAAAAAALPs/_MrE2NawH8E8eNdMRDul_DwoYwPKu1i9ACLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Decor-Tutorial%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WcbRHfnKxQM/WvXOTse7yCI/AAAAAAAALPs/_MrE2NawH8E8eNdMRDul_DwoYwPKu1i9ACLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Decor-Tutorial%2B1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As the wooden word 'family' was already painted with white in a rustic style, I thought using a feathering approach to the gold foil would be the most cohesive look. I used a bristle fan paint brush and some of the iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive and made wispy strokes from the bottom up. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R5vPvZDLv8U/WvXPlkHg6VI/AAAAAAAALP4/eRnC7ZOQzfYWYBHMEmdzoyNHCn27J9gywCLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Decor-Tutorial2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R5vPvZDLv8U/WvXPlkHg6VI/AAAAAAAALP4/eRnC7ZOQzfYWYBHMEmdzoyNHCn27J9gywCLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Decor-Tutorial2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After allowing the glue to dry to a tacky consistency I placed the foil over the wood piece and using my finger pressed gently but firmly for the best coverage before pealing off the sheet.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-10qaWsb4110/WvXTh9cz1yI/AAAAAAAALQE/HzlqWey_YG0i4-m4AukfU_w4KQCs0nsJACLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Decor-Tutorial3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="806" data-original-width="900" height="570" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-10qaWsb4110/WvXTh9cz1yI/AAAAAAAALQE/HzlqWey_YG0i4-m4AukfU_w4KQCs0nsJACLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Decor-Tutorial3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'd decided to add a felt flower but wanted to add gold leaves to it instead of the felt leaves that came in the pack. So using some of the iCraft Decofoil Foam Adhesive I punched both leave and hearts then again placed the foil over the top and rubbed gently. The foil pealed off beautifully from the foam adhesive with very little pressure needed.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Nuwjubc8Dks/WvXU8ynyMGI/AAAAAAAALQQ/VhDaUU0NKngtnp9JQ_Zj0JcKiTZyV432QCLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Devor-Tutorial4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Nuwjubc8Dks/WvXU8ynyMGI/AAAAAAAALQQ/VhDaUU0NKngtnp9JQ_Zj0JcKiTZyV432QCLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Devor-Tutorial4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next step was to fill the heart shaped shakers with the sequins and beads before pealing back the adhesive strip protector. I then placed cotton thread over the entire heart from top to bottom and then joined it with another heart shaker to lock the thread in place. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AOSbUKd-H9M/WvXWIuGk15I/AAAAAAAALQY/BW-6YugSWmoECNpTfi9So-SY5YeZAfnewCLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Tutorial5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AOSbUKd-H9M/WvXWIuGk15I/AAAAAAAALQY/BW-6YugSWmoECNpTfi9So-SY5YeZAfnewCLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Thermo-Web-Tutorial5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I laid all the cotton threads out on my table and added the shakers, along with the punched hearts and also the larger punched hearts that I used as the backdrop for my photos. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kXGl1_EpYUk/WvXXlACwHtI/AAAAAAAALQo/SOlVN8rYgboB6J-7PBdE6ORY83cdmOWmwCLcBGAs/s1600/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Decor-Tutorial6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kXGl1_EpYUk/WvXXlACwHtI/AAAAAAAALQo/SOlVN8rYgboB6J-7PBdE6ORY83cdmOWmwCLcBGAs/s640/Jillibean-Soup-Melinda-Spinks-Decor-Tutorial6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
It was then a matter of working out how long I wanted each thread and also the placement of the photos for an overall balanced look to the project.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

You don't always need to have elves for Christmas, hearts for Valentine's Day or bunnies at Easter. Sometimes you can get away with using cute icons that don't depict the holiday you are working on but they have the perfect color scheme. </span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1C-MsNqflM0/WrzGyKRTkYI/AAAAAAAALHQ/QlQBcylJ_esLSLFc6bimTEEnoQeR_n7BQCLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2Band%2BEggs%2BShadow%2BBox.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="685" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1C-MsNqflM0/WrzGyKRTkYI/AAAAAAAALHQ/QlQBcylJ_esLSLFc6bimTEEnoQeR_n7BQCLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2Band%2BEggs%2BShadow%2BBox.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;">My recent Easter project doesn't have a single bunny or chicken in sight, however, it is covered in eggs... along with bacon, waffles, pop tarts and a few hearts thrown in for good measure and made the perfect Easter gift for my youngest son who loves nothing better than a cooked breakfast. Don't get me wrong... he also loves chocolate so Easter Bunny dropped quite a few chocolates on his way past.</span></div>
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W_ImftZT_iI/WrzJbcJHzjI/AAAAAAAALHU/UF1I9NboBy4aZVopxp-xtbYEjlGhIrzlwCLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2Band%2BEggs%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W_ImftZT_iI/WrzJbcJHzjI/AAAAAAAALHU/UF1I9NboBy4aZVopxp-xtbYEjlGhIrzlwCLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2Band%2BEggs%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
To create the shadow box I started off with a base of Swiss Dots vellum and placed a heart shape underneath to use as a template. I then adhered the largest of the icons evenly across the heart before filling in all the gaps with smaller embellishments.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-baK5Vwr6blM/WrzKfF_ty9I/AAAAAAAALHY/Lu2B7f2_6iM_n8H_ZVvt0BHTtGyTICO6QCLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2Band%2BEggs%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-baK5Vwr6blM/WrzKfF_ty9I/AAAAAAAALHY/Lu2B7f2_6iM_n8H_ZVvt0BHTtGyTICO6QCLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2Band%2BEggs%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Using Doodle-Pops and Sprinkles along with stickers gives a wonderful dimension to the project from all the different thicknesses in the layers. And how cute are those egg Doodle-Pops from the 'So Punny' collection?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cPIKFu2immM/WrzNHhLwt9I/AAAAAAAALHc/PZ27gJmlPfs1GPDM6wf09_tcEKhZElweACLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2B%2526%2BEggs%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cPIKFu2immM/WrzNHhLwt9I/AAAAAAAALHc/PZ27gJmlPfs1GPDM6wf09_tcEKhZElweACLcBGAs/s1600/Bacon%2B%2526%2BEggs%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Doodlebug have both 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 shadow box frames in white, black and brown. For this project I used the smaller size frame in white. Shadows boxes are a perfect way to create a gift for someone that has a little bit of dimension and a whole lot of fun.<br />

I was recently given the opportunity to guest design for Jillibean Soup and instantly fell in love with the earthy and rustic products. Guest designing is a wonderful opportunity to work with items you don't often get to use and Mixed Media just happens to be one of those products. </div>
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">My daughter found this wall art piece in my design box and instantly laid claim to it so I decided to decorate it for her to use on her bedroom door.</span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">To create the letter 'G' I used an electronic cutting machine to create the initial on plain paper and simply placed it over the wood piece before adhering the embellishments to fill the cut-out.</span></div>

Historically February 14 is the most romantic day of the year so I thought it was fitting to scrap about my husband who very rarely allows his face to be in front of a camera. However, because I was using the 'So Punny' collection I thought it would be more fun to do a lighthearted page with the same sentiment behind it.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o0VEAecVQzU/WoQlkNgyy9I/AAAAAAAALDw/9MlVkvh-xD8ObRAlC_8Gx8qUBXnRdcrcQCLcBGAs/s1600/Remote%2BHog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="649" data-original-width="650" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-o0VEAecVQzU/WoQlkNgyy9I/AAAAAAAALDw/9MlVkvh-xD8ObRAlC_8Gx8qUBXnRdcrcQCLcBGAs/s1600/Remote%2BHog.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
The entire layout design was based directly from the little television icon which I loved from the moment I found it inside the Odds & Ends packet. I really wanted to replicate the test pattern stripes but I also couldn't shake the idea of having a heart background. So after a few sketches I settled on a striped heart that I could stitch with matching color thread to the test pattern.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QrJgp2-Iisg/WoQl8kV0WtI/AAAAAAAALD4/FDUQRZ6QBG45mujKBvmzGytJV3k1kmhfACLcBGAs/s1600/Remote%2BHog%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QrJgp2-Iisg/WoQl8kV0WtI/AAAAAAAALD4/FDUQRZ6QBG45mujKBvmzGytJV3k1kmhfACLcBGAs/s1600/Remote%2BHog%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
And how fun to find a matching remote... which gave me the idea to have 'Remote Hog' as the title to my layout. Although I seriously think my husband would disagree! I also used the little pink 'love' arrow sentiment from the brand new 'Chit Chat' pack.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rF3oWAsHUJk/WoQmPXx9VsI/AAAAAAAALD8/BFiAH2m_GEIHIRXV1MWFa75psdsOauCBgCLcBGAs/s1600/Remote%2BHog%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rF3oWAsHUJk/WoQmPXx9VsI/AAAAAAAALD8/BFiAH2m_GEIHIRXV1MWFa75psdsOauCBgCLcBGAs/s1600/Remote%2BHog%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Speaking of new products, the teenie tiny hearts are the latest Sprinkles and I have used almost two packets already. I cannot get enough of these little pieces because they make the perfect embellishment without being too heavy on the overall design.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4321ROQx0uk/WoQlzDU2pnI/AAAAAAAALEA/g8orNQjARVUMi1wPuE-5xmhNWCxNGr-fwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Remote%2BHog%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4321ROQx0uk/WoQlzDU2pnI/AAAAAAAALEA/g8orNQjARVUMi1wPuE-5xmhNWCxNGr-fwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Remote%2BHog%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hope everyone has a wonderful day whether they celebrate Valentine's Day or not. It's nice to simply do something for someone you love regardless of the date.<br />

I must admit, I probably should have eaten before creating this layout because the more food icons I used the hungrier I became. Luckily our little Pug 'Dusty' doesn't think the same about his pizza toy or we could be in all sorts of trouble. To be honest, he quite often falls asleep on his slice of pizza so I thought it would be fun to use 'So Punny' with all the little pizzas to record this sweet photo of our Pug and his pizza pillow.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8vzWdmIruqA/Wnq0zzV7RMI/AAAAAAAALCM/uhr685Vzorw3hscU0xO2NKovxaI1XnlIwCLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="687" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8vzWdmIruqA/Wnq0zzV7RMI/AAAAAAAALCM/uhr685Vzorw3hscU0xO2NKovxaI1XnlIwCLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H9P15S9qtzY/Wnq1U5X3HYI/AAAAAAAALC4/k0bHlxvhdMYPHC7V6Wl-JOS14JHyxL7AgCEwYBhgL/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H9P15S9qtzY/Wnq1U5X3HYI/AAAAAAAALC4/k0bHlxvhdMYPHC7V6Wl-JOS14JHyxL7AgCEwYBhgL/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The brand new Chit Chat pieces work perfectly to co-ordinate with the icons so I used the 'you've stolen a PIZZA my heart' speech bubble as my page title.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ANGHL0GNGAo/Wnq133fz8PI/AAAAAAAALC8/VE-tTXZZOE0O6OfwZ3GXJ9JSTDOqmzK5QCLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ANGHL0GNGAo/Wnq133fz8PI/AAAAAAAALC8/VE-tTXZZOE0O6OfwZ3GXJ9JSTDOqmzK5QCLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When putting together a collage style layout I always use a variety of flat and dimensional stickers to create small shadows which adds to the interest of the page. That's why Doodle-Pop dimensional stickers work perfectly and I can't go past their cuteness.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qJfhwT2zCvY/Wnq8Y0bKGFI/AAAAAAAALDQ/HcsTFOJrxQUk6gXyEjdCeR1GYahYc-JzwCLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qJfhwT2zCvY/Wnq8Y0bKGFI/AAAAAAAALDQ/HcsTFOJrxQUk6gXyEjdCeR1GYahYc-JzwCLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B7.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NPoB0n8t-MI/Wnq9KZ4OAsI/AAAAAAAALDg/Y7mXT3qfqZQQWN7PxL3ah-tZVeXni21YACLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NPoB0n8t-MI/Wnq9KZ4OAsI/AAAAAAAALDg/Y7mXT3qfqZQQWN7PxL3ah-tZVeXni21YACLcBGAs/s1600/Pizza%2BLayout%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Although 'So Punny' is a Valentine's Collection, it's design is broad enough to be used for so much more. So, have a hunt around your photo library and find some fun photos of pizza nights, or take-out with friends, or even camping pics where you are cooking bacon and eggs on a BBQ. All these events make up the 'every day' moments in our lives which are so important to record.</div>

This week the theme is 'Favourite food to make in the kitchen' so he let me know in advance that he wanted to make 'rumballs aka truffles'. The next step was to work out a fun way to package the rumballs and we thought about doing Reindeer noses but one thing led to another and we decided on 'Zoo Poo', much to my son's delight.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Fortunately I still had two full sheets of icon stickers from the '<a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1802">At the Zoo</a>' collection to use on the front of this sweet little <a href="http://shop.loriwhitlock.com/bag-topper-thank-you/">Treat Bag Topper SVG cut file from Lori Whitlock</a>. I made the topper 6" in width which was perfect for snack size zip-lock bags to hold four rumballs for each student.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nWRik60GH-U/WhrAz4yVeeI/AAAAAAAAKYE/FPKz3B7tf8IneqKiCKYx0Rk_5grqZSyVwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Zoo%2BPoo%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="600" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nWRik60GH-U/WhrAz4yVeeI/AAAAAAAAKYE/FPKz3B7tf8IneqKiCKYx0Rk_5grqZSyVwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Zoo%2BPoo%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I also used three different leaf SVG cut files from the <a href="http://shop.loriwhitlock.com/at-the-zoo-collection/">Doodlebug 'At The Zoo'</a> collection to create more layers to the front embellishments and give that jungle feel behind each zoo animal.<br />

<br />
Just loving the brand new '<a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1827">Abigail'</a> font stickers that come in all the Doodlebug colours including a gorgeous silver metallic foil.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iOYOH9Q3VLo/WhrA1BeyixI/AAAAAAAAKYI/AKu6yjxJDD8W7bOPYgf6m3og-z6wKWb_wCEwYBhgL/s1600/Zoo%2BPoo%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="600" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iOYOH9Q3VLo/WhrA1BeyixI/AAAAAAAAKYI/AKu6yjxJDD8W7bOPYgf6m3og-z6wKWb_wCEwYBhgL/s1600/Zoo%2BPoo%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So, I have made seven bags so far and have seven to go... half way there! I must admit they are fairly quick to make once I worked out the first design and cut out all my leaves and base plates. And believe me, I have one very excited little boy who cannot wait to have his 'Show 'n' Tell'.<br />

</div>
So often we find ourselves creating layouts of our children and/or pets yet our lives are full of many influential people that we can also be thankful for. In all the years I have been crafting I think I have created a layout of my Mum once prior to this, yet we talk every couple of days so she is a big part of my life.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEhGEDdcqp8/Wf0fWCkjSPI/AAAAAAAAKV0/61MIfhltgOg-adMJ70ygtuz9ZrofDV7rACLcBGAs/s1600/Mumsy%2BLayout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="637" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEhGEDdcqp8/Wf0fWCkjSPI/AAAAAAAAKV0/61MIfhltgOg-adMJ70ygtuz9ZrofDV7rACLcBGAs/s1600/Mumsy%2BLayout.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
We recently celebrated her 80th birthday and she looked so lovely in her outfit that I wanted to create this page for her as a keepsake of the day. And because I wanted to frame the layout I decided to 'go all out' and do a punched flower background in all the fall colours of the <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatSearch.aspx?Search=flea%20market">'Flea Market'</a> collection.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dEwyulYbdKs/Wf0DGKdavAI/AAAAAAAAKVk/Ux3xTbdm8wMxZ6lTBBWa9u2KsD_wTNKugCLcBGAs/s1600/Mumsy%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dEwyulYbdKs/Wf0DGKdavAI/AAAAAAAAKVk/Ux3xTbdm8wMxZ6lTBBWa9u2KsD_wTNKugCLcBGAs/s1600/Mumsy%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Row upon row upon row of teeny retro flowers and a back ache from leaning over for too long...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8QuuC83rkvk/Wf0l5TjuovI/AAAAAAAAKWE/hacoiavCg7U8GYMG4arl0GWtlhtr59cTgCLcBGAs/s1600/Mumsy%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8QuuC83rkvk/Wf0l5TjuovI/AAAAAAAAKWE/hacoiavCg7U8GYMG4arl0GWtlhtr59cTgCLcBGAs/s1600/Mumsy%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Once the bed of flowers was complete for the background I started adding layers behind my photograph using patterned paper from the Flea Market collection and added a couple of border trim pieces around the edges from the <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=12365&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1788">Flea Market This & That sticker sheet</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K_E1-xA-B3s/Wf0nnEnFfmI/AAAAAAAAKWQ/MofAxz2HxE0w_DkJs1PP1utUl6w7qO5mACEwYBhgL/s1600/Mumsy%2Bcloseup%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="975" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K_E1-xA-B3s/Wf0nnEnFfmI/AAAAAAAAKWQ/MofAxz2HxE0w_DkJs1PP1utUl6w7qO5mACEwYBhgL/s1600/Mumsy%2Bcloseup%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I then built up clusters of flowers to create focal points around the photo giving the layout a look of balance and tying the colours and textures together. I think I used up every last flower from the <a href="http://doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=12364&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1788">Flea Market Icons Sticker Sheet</a>. My title 'Mumsy' was created using the <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=10917&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1758">Stone Grey Swiss Dot Petite Print</a> and my Silhouette Cameo.<br />

I hope I've given you some inspiration to think about creating pages of people you don't normally scrap. Especially those that have such an important role in shaping who we are today.<br />

However, you will be amazed at just how little you need to use from your stash to add a touch of fun to your projects. Today I'm going to show you how to apply a little bit of dimension using a very small amount of washi leaving plenty of leftovers in your collection for future projects... or just to look at and admire.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YSMjSRY9VPI/We3GK7YZ8zI/AAAAAAAAKT4/55Qm8sNX6sIf34dTu4PDFMjmQyi4M5SBgCLcBGAs/s1600/DSC_0018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="648" data-original-width="650" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YSMjSRY9VPI/We3GK7YZ8zI/AAAAAAAAKT4/55Qm8sNX6sIf34dTu4PDFMjmQyi4M5SBgCLcBGAs/s1600/DSC_0018.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I simply used multiple strips of washi tape in layers and gently curled at the ends to create a feathered look to the wing of the flamingo. It produced a soft effect that gave the layout a lift without going overboard on using too much of my tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NYk0bKlxI-I/We3HudPrqSI/AAAAAAAAKUc/yZ4eVqCqGpEu3SkqXTxRps77KUm8I3eGwCLcBGAs/s1600/Flamingo%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NYk0bKlxI-I/We3HudPrqSI/AAAAAAAAKUc/yZ4eVqCqGpEu3SkqXTxRps77KUm8I3eGwCLcBGAs/s1600/Flamingo%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
First step was to place small lengths of tape to plain vellum before cutting each individual strip and then punching one end with a rounded corner punch. Next step was to overlap and adhere each strip to the wing of the flamingo before gently bending each tip around a pen to create the dimension.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_DwvrXx8CW4/We3NLWYsEhI/AAAAAAAAKU0/43SPPQiP9Nk8Fvv66X4s43GxXUMC2cRHwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Flamingo%2BCollage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="271" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_DwvrXx8CW4/We3NLWYsEhI/AAAAAAAAKU0/43SPPQiP9Nk8Fvv66X4s43GxXUMC2cRHwCEwYBhgL/s1600/Flamingo%2BCollage.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
This gorgeous flamingo is from the Doodlebug - Fun In the Sun cut file collection which you can find at the links below. However I did alter the file a little as I wanted to put the title of my layout 'Flamingo' down the shape of the neck.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://shop.loriwhitlock.com/flamingo-fun-in-the-sun/">Flamingo - Fun in the Sun (Lori Whitlock)</a><br />
<a href="https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/160378">Flamingo - Fun in the Sun (Silhouette)</a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5TROiiBv5-w/We3HX0E-cVI/AAAAAAAAKUU/V_5OaJlB6ScDti-DhsbEYHXU_yWR56q5gCLcBGAs/s1600/Flamingo%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="411" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5TROiiBv5-w/We3HX0E-cVI/AAAAAAAAKUU/V_5OaJlB6ScDti-DhsbEYHXU_yWR56q5gCLcBGAs/s1600/Flamingo%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
And just look at that pink eye, it almost looks real - well it's actually from the <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=14575&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1817">Shaped Sprinkles (eye candy)</a> in this year's <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1817">Booville</a> collection. I kid you not!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v7W66mEDZMY/We3GXpeaknI/AAAAAAAAKUA/_mR_Ld0qOmoHHhbo0PXMmlh13oBH-8QvgCLcBGAs/s1600/Flamingo%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="836" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v7W66mEDZMY/We3GXpeaknI/AAAAAAAAKUA/_mR_Ld0qOmoHHhbo0PXMmlh13oBH-8QvgCLcBGAs/s1600/Flamingo%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I didn't hold back in mixing and matching collections on this layout with a combination of <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1796">Spring Things</a>, <a href="http://booville/">Booville</a>, <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatSearch.aspx?Search=fun%20in%20the%20sun">Fun In the Sun</a>, <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatSearch.aspx?Search=milk%20&%20cookies">Milk & Cookies</a> plus a touch of Petite Prints card stock. I will always find room on my layouts for anything transparent like these sweet clouds and sun from the <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=12669&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1796">Spring Things Odds & Ends</a> pack.<br />

The new <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1818">Milk and Cookies</a> literally makes me smile as I craft because those darling little faces on the icons are just so 'happy'. And the addition of pink and mint to the Christmas colour palette is simply perfect!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ld7D6MSBz3E/WeLMRhUPGNI/AAAAAAAAKRo/xP3--e2_paEhEDQgut4agkkXkUa6tiDxQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="654" data-original-width="650" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ld7D6MSBz3E/WeLMRhUPGNI/AAAAAAAAKRo/xP3--e2_paEhEDQgut4agkkXkUa6tiDxQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B0.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After drawing a rough sketch I set about preparing the background with holes for a hand stitched bauble. My intentions were to make a paper bow however I felt it might make the layout top heavy and take away from the icon cluster I had planned.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aRjfTLrZ9M0/WeNFXWWhxhI/AAAAAAAAKSc/ZCcIOpdOfPMGms-LISKKBG8eRIHWKTliACLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="205" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aRjfTLrZ9M0/WeNFXWWhxhI/AAAAAAAAKSc/ZCcIOpdOfPMGms-LISKKBG8eRIHWKTliACLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B8.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Crazy stitching is so effective and fun to do but keep in mind that it uses allot of thread and takes far more time than a regular stitch.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aA_h7WNtlOA/WeK1IVEmL8I/AAAAAAAAKRM/_CU9dc-yPxY8HikKIDCMZJtmsaOmbO3QQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="861" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aA_h7WNtlOA/WeK1IVEmL8I/AAAAAAAAKRM/_CU9dc-yPxY8HikKIDCMZJtmsaOmbO3QQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
This photo of myself was a little crazy which portrays exactly how I feel on the Eve of Christmas after the mad lead up... I usually finish the day with a glass of wine or two whilst waiting for the 'hayseeds' to go to sleep before we can sneak in and deliver the Santa sacks to the end of their beds.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q7C4poADeIo/WeNM5yM92oI/AAAAAAAAKTQ/qP9Mhx1brSAeaISZx_3ydwOx17mntmRmQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="829" data-original-width="650" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q7C4poADeIo/WeNM5yM92oI/AAAAAAAAKTQ/qP9Mhx1brSAeaISZx_3ydwOx17mntmRmQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B9.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
TIP: I love, love, love the speech bubbles from the <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=14636&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1818">'This & That cardstock sticker sheets</a>. However I do like to place them slightly over my photos so I always rub the backs with baby-powder first to remove the sticker adhesive before adding a dimensional pop dot to the back.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3N617yTDhpA/WeLNs1G2gGI/AAAAAAAAKSE/uT_iDDZc0S0Ax7Rngbi-Z_4j9j0e8k2oQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="867" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3N617yTDhpA/WeLNs1G2gGI/AAAAAAAAKSE/uT_iDDZc0S0Ax7Rngbi-Z_4j9j0e8k2oQCEwYBhgL/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Foam adhesive pop dots were also added to the icon clusters as I really wanted lots of layering around the stitching. "Aren't those wee faces just the cutes things?"<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-odm_WpkCJz4/WeNKeDP1ePI/AAAAAAAAKTA/iTMc3tuNRXACfIoUcL8GZhbqZyFVYW7xACLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="881" data-original-width="650" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-odm_WpkCJz4/WeNKeDP1ePI/AAAAAAAAKTA/iTMc3tuNRXACfIoUcL8GZhbqZyFVYW7xACLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
To soften the overall look I placed random scatters of <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=14622&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1818">Glitter Sprinkles</a>, <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=14612&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1818">Matte Sprinkles</a> and <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=14624&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1818">Shape Sprinkles</a> then finished the layout with a few splats of white ink.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vaTPXgmmIFc/WeNKlb5GJ5I/AAAAAAAAKTE/9da_SNaPZOwUPw9lO5PKB0RkyE_vpQMsQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="901" data-original-width="650" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vaTPXgmmIFc/WeNKlb5GJ5I/AAAAAAAAKTE/9da_SNaPZOwUPw9lO5PKB0RkyE_vpQMsQCLcBGAs/s1600/Christmas%2BChecklist%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
And just in case you missed them... have a look at the shaped sprinkles from this collection. Now you know why it's hard not to want to hoard them forever.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2Bk0nviJqoE/WeNQFy-rltI/AAAAAAAAKTc/BwZyJeYyLysXhSCQmcik4qk2FWMOKiVNACLcBGAs/s1600/PicMonkey%2BCollage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="460" data-original-width="650" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2Bk0nviJqoE/WeNQFy-rltI/AAAAAAAAKTc/BwZyJeYyLysXhSCQmcik4qk2FWMOKiVNACLcBGAs/s1600/PicMonkey%2BCollage.jpg" /></a></div>
So, that's a wrap for our Christmas inspiration, hopefully we've given you lots of creative ideas to help you with your festive preparations.<br />

Alas, I have to rely on my daughter who usually does something once or twice a year that qualifies as an 'almost' Halloween pic. She hasn't let met down yet, although I do believe I'm going to be in a fair amount of trouble for making this photo of her so public.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MYBgxYMkaQ4/WdEGKL3fwhI/AAAAAAAAKQc/HDHfNYuFHLszNwJDj_0KzogwPXkmkHztACLcBGAs/s1600/Booville%2B6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="600" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MYBgxYMkaQ4/WdEGKL3fwhI/AAAAAAAAKQc/HDHfNYuFHLszNwJDj_0KzogwPXkmkHztACLcBGAs/s1600/Booville%2B6.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm crushing on the colour scheme of the new <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1817">Doodlebug Design 'BooVille'</a> collection as they have added pink and blue to the standard colour palette of purple, orange, black and green for the October 31 Holiday. I will never knock back the addition of pink to any collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Y4vAbgqinOA/WdEGOch-X7I/AAAAAAAAKQs/TOlhgkXbNHo6rtcXrN6B2y6JMdoePgQqwCLcBGAs/s1600/Booville%2B5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="780" data-original-width="600" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Y4vAbgqinOA/WdEGOch-X7I/AAAAAAAAKQs/TOlhgkXbNHo6rtcXrN6B2y6JMdoePgQqwCLcBGAs/s1600/Booville%2B5.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
One of my favourite new products... Glitter Sprinkles! They are so pretty and add that extra sparkle without getting glitter all over yourself! And of course I can never say no to stars... so much so that the small scattering of stars I had originally drawn on my sketch somehow transpired into a full blown moon shape by the time I finished adding all the stars and sprinkles.<br />

How sweet is this acetate spider web from the <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=14582&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1817">BooVille Odds & Ends</a> pack? Some people shy away from using clear pieces due to the difficulty in adhering them without the glue or pop dot being seen. I tend to work in layers so always hide my adhesives underneath a top layer. And can you spy that wee little spider with his cute purple eyes... he comes from the new <a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/CatalogItem.aspx?StoreItemXRefID=14576&CatID=-1&LastCatID=1817">Silly Spider Shaped Sprinkles</a>.<br />

Just in case you were wondering... no, I cannot write that neat and I've yet to find a white pen that is 100% opaque so I raided my trusty stash of Doodlebug mini rub-ons. Although they are no longer available they can still be found lurking around some on-line stores, if you're lucky. Otherwise let me know if you come across a really good opaque white pen as I'd love to have a recommendation.<br />

<br />
I'll be honest, I had absolutely no idea what a Meme was when our design team co-ordinator at Doodlebug came up with the idea of a new challenge. So, I had to ask my teenager daughter who gave me the typical "Mum, seriously?".<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LuITMqSjy-s/WF0n9zGuPAI/AAAAAAAAJ_w/dOXuQOWS8QUPRz_lFihHVeyjuKbEdpWPwCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2B-%2BMeme%2B-%2BLayout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LuITMqSjy-s/WF0n9zGuPAI/AAAAAAAAJ_w/dOXuQOWS8QUPRz_lFihHVeyjuKbEdpWPwCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2B-%2BMeme%2B-%2BLayout.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, this was definitely not a challenge to be taken lightly, I literally spent way too much time browsing Pinterest for Meme's and believe me, my daughter was truly shaking her head by the end of my search because I kept showing her all the funny 'Memes' I stumbled across. This particular meme caught my eye as I suddenly realised I had a photo of our 'Mr Wilson' sitting in a basket... perfect!<br />

<br />
Dumb idea #1... to think it would be fun to hand stitch the outline of a cat onto my layout background. I didn't give this enough thought as it took far more time than I'd anticipated. Question... why is gold so hard to photograph?<br />

<br />
The perfect way to soften a page is to add vellum so I decided I'd punch some leaves to nestle behind the flowers using the swiss dots vellum. It definitely gave a more subtle look to the cluster of flowers.<br />

<br />
Don't forget your journaling. I find this such an important part to a layout after I recently sat down and browsed through layouts from past years. The kids were asking me questions about the photos and I seriously couldn't answer half their questions because I'd concentrated more on the design of the page than the content. So, my New Years resolution was to journal the important stuff.<br />

I struggle with backgrounds to my layouts and more often than not I find myself using white because it's 'safe'. So every once in a while I force myself to use a patterned paper or darker shade as a background and although it takes a great deal of effort I usually love the result in the end.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
I love these photos of my oldest and youngest because they have a very special bond. They do fight quite a bit but they also have allot of time for each other. I printed the photos in black and white because it allowed the focus to be more on their faces than the colour of their clothes. To brighten the rest of the layout I chose several different size flower punches and found an itty bitty leaf punch that I used to create the floral effect across my page. Mind you, I didn't realise how long it would take to hand stitch all those stems. Note to self, be a bit more conservative next time!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--JF34XLaLxc/WDgNDZxNN-I/AAAAAAAAJ9g/-u73u8YshtIr0sUjPMZ7ocpmJptFQHrMgCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BPetite%2BPrints%2B-%2BBig%2BSister%2B%2526%2BLittle%2BBrother%2B-%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--JF34XLaLxc/WDgNDZxNN-I/AAAAAAAAJ9g/-u73u8YshtIr0sUjPMZ7ocpmJptFQHrMgCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BPetite%2BPrints%2B-%2BBig%2BSister%2B%2526%2BLittle%2BBrother%2B-%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I also added a little hand stitching across the bottom of the photos to help draw the eye down the layout and to soften the join in colours.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZJc29YBXlL0/WDgNMHzsxtI/AAAAAAAAJ9k/WqS5W3Ypaas5nD6ZFckG3vMVV2bSlK5tgCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BPetite%2BPrints%2B-%2BBig%2BSister%2B%2526%2BLittle%2BBrother%2B-%2BCloseup%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZJc29YBXlL0/WDgNMHzsxtI/AAAAAAAAJ9k/WqS5W3Ypaas5nD6ZFckG3vMVV2bSlK5tgCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BPetite%2BPrints%2B-%2BBig%2BSister%2B%2526%2BLittle%2BBrother%2B-%2BCloseup%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm absolutely smitten by the new Doodlebug Petite Prints range of gingham and linen. I decided to do this entire layout using only the linen side as the smaller pattern worked perfectly with the tiny punches.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
White rub-ons are a staple in my stash as they work beautifully on dark backgrounds as I've never found a white pen that will match the quality.<br />

At the mere mention of the name you envisage all sorts of eclectic goodies combined with a dreamy fall color palette and the all important whimsical creatures. I honestly couldn't wait to get started with my project as I'd already had a photo in mind and I'd even pre-drawn a rough layout... you could say, I was all set to go!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GUr7OiP3IEI/V949U6A_teI/AAAAAAAAJ6w/lLxaIFf7AgcAtPVYAKY2eqFrhahc2eknQCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BTogether%2B-%2BLayout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GUr7OiP3IEI/V949U6A_teI/AAAAAAAAJ6w/lLxaIFf7AgcAtPVYAKY2eqFrhahc2eknQCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BTogether%2B-%2BLayout.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
My littlest muchkin was enjoying the last of the warm Autumn weather and decided he'd spend the afternoon with his fur-companion Miss Lizzy. I'm sure the dog wore more sand than was absolutely necessary but she didn't seem to mind. I printed out the photo in a circular shape as I wanted to incorporate it into my round collage instead of plonking a square photo on top.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mRlnKpyYQUI/V949RkdYPTI/AAAAAAAAJ6g/mnixOTYvAHkHVj6gWbY-NpEQ3_H0hxi5QCEw/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BTogether%2B-%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mRlnKpyYQUI/V949RkdYPTI/AAAAAAAAJ6g/mnixOTYvAHkHVj6gWbY-NpEQ3_H0hxi5QCEw/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BTogether%2B-%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I used a dinner plate to draw my outer circle for the collage and then adhered the photo in position using foam pop dots so as I wanted it to be slightly raised so I could slide a few bits and pieces underneath the edges. Then it was decorating time!!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-frzKEGHkYxE/V949S7uyYQI/AAAAAAAAJ6o/eQvLselm1lAe--CBUS27vlpe6sqs7wbIACEw/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BTogether%2B-%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-frzKEGHkYxE/V949S7uyYQI/AAAAAAAAJ6o/eQvLselm1lAe--CBUS27vlpe6sqs7wbIACEw/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BTogether%2B-%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
And can you spy the beautiful new '<a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1790">Petite Print</a>' pattern... this particular side of the double sided patterned paper is called 'Linen' with the reverse side being 'gingham'. I think it is my new favourite of the Petite Range.<br />

As a last little feature I wanted to add one of the tiny little mice and hide him in some washi grass. Awww, he is too cute!<br />

That probably wasn't the response I was expecting but he was insistent that was all he wanted. Next time I don't think I'll ask.<br />
<br />

<br />
He loves the Avengers and has a few of the characters but Captain America seems to be the one he carts around with him the most. At first I had no idea how to make a shield with paper until we talked about it a bit more and he said he would like a picture to go on his wall above his bed. Now THAT I could manage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oPni2hPOQAQ/V76gS-nihrI/AAAAAAAAJ58/t0SkXfRKDpcav30AuQ-rEXjSXGMKgNm-wCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BKids%2BProject%2B-%2BCaptain%2BAmerica%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oPni2hPOQAQ/V76gS-nihrI/AAAAAAAAJ58/t0SkXfRKDpcav30AuQ-rEXjSXGMKgNm-wCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BKids%2BProject%2B-%2BCaptain%2BAmerica%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I dragged out every red, white and blue embellishment and paper I could find after tracing the shape onto my white cardstock with an engraving tool.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-E8OPB6LISh8/V76gbaq3TUI/AAAAAAAAJ6A/zFJOrlY-IUcbag-dSUx8dDf9JBh1dBXjQCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BKids%2BProject%2B-%2BCaptain%2BAmerica%2BCloseup%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-E8OPB6LISh8/V76gbaq3TUI/AAAAAAAAJ6A/zFJOrlY-IUcbag-dSUx8dDf9JBh1dBXjQCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BKids%2BProject%2B-%2BCaptain%2BAmerica%2BCloseup%2B4.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
There was a very eclectic mix of collections used but that didn't pose any issues as I was only after the colour and not the theme.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ffiglZcks00/V76gkGWsX2I/AAAAAAAAJ6E/SPkwW2P1k5sgLdIo9eiWan2uzJheigtSgCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BKids%2BProject%2B-%2BCaptain%2BAmerica%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ffiglZcks00/V76gkGWsX2I/AAAAAAAAJ6E/SPkwW2P1k5sgLdIo9eiWan2uzJheigtSgCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BKids%2BProject%2B-%2BCaptain%2BAmerica%2BCloseup%2B3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
The finished result left me devoid of nearly every red, white and blue embellishment I had on hand but one little man was super excited to have his Captain America Art hanging above his bed.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have given you some inspiration for that Avenger loving little person in your family.<br />

Today's particular challenge was to take a layout that was designed by a previous DT designer and put our own stamp on it. We also had to use a particular Doodlebug colour and I was given the gorgeous 'Cupcake'. How could I refuse, pink is my favourite colour. I chose this sweet layout from the incredibly talented Tonya Prawitt whose work you will continually see in the Doodlebug product catalogue... yes, she's amazing!<br />

I loved the way she incorporated a twine rainbow into the background of her layout and seeing as I've been on a bit of a 'stitch-fest' lately I thought it was a great place to start.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a1f2evrJi7s/V61GDYyermI/AAAAAAAAJx8/CqatSsM5BTYm0s3GKUayHxqWBSZE1xrOACLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BDebutante%2BLayout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a1f2evrJi7s/V61GDYyermI/AAAAAAAAJx8/CqatSsM5BTYm0s3GKUayHxqWBSZE1xrOACLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BDebutante%2BLayout.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I'm really enjoying the crazy style of stitching because it doesn't matter if I'm neat or not as it's great for hiding little imperfections. I know my color for this challenge was pink but you can't have an all pink rainbow. However, I did keep the colors soft as I really wanted the rainbow to remain as a background feature.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P-vdYOdApYM/V6hzMxriVDI/AAAAAAAAJxU/ixfy39qIelQHShyqSqdMkMSUycie-yF0gCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BDebutante%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P-vdYOdApYM/V6hzMxriVDI/AAAAAAAAJxU/ixfy39qIelQHShyqSqdMkMSUycie-yF0gCLcB/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BDebutante%2BCloseup%2B2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I continued with inspiration from Tonya's layout using the cloud design as a frame for my second photograph and I also added an italic heading.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-U7BomUICv-o/V6hzMZGMguI/AAAAAAAAJxQ/--PdZgZ9P8wzdjGFbnIk0cLhMg2YLexlQCEw/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BDebutante%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-U7BomUICv-o/V6hzMZGMguI/AAAAAAAAJxQ/--PdZgZ9P8wzdjGFbnIk0cLhMg2YLexlQCEw/s1600/DB%2B-%2BMelinda%2BSpinks%2B-%2BDebutante%2BCloseup%2B1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I even managed to sneak a few flowers into the layout to really use the most of Tonya's original design. The pink papers and embellishments are from the two gorgeous new collections '<a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1778">Kitten Smitten</a>' and '<a href="http://www.doodlebug.ws/Catalog/Catalog.aspx?CatID=1777">Fun In The Sun'.</a><br />
