Another month, another sketch...

Monday, October 4, 2010

October is upon us and with the new month comes slightly warmer weather (yay), the beginning of hay season here on the farm and another wonderful sketch challenge and blog hop from Imaginisce. Each month Imaginisce put together a sketch competition which remains open until the 25th of the month and one lucky entrant has the chance to win a huge prize package to the value of $75(US), can you believe it!
This months sketch designer is the very talented Imaginisce DT member Cindy Stevens.
Here is my take on Cindy's amazing sketch...
This photo is one of my all time favourites of my little man and although he is now 4, I still cannot get used to staring into those big blue eyes. The farmer, myself and my daughter all have brown eyes so when he was born with blue eyes we were taken aback as we didn't think it was possible... believe me, it is! LOL!
I have used the gorgeous black and white 'Katherine' paper from the Imaginisce 'To Love & Cherish' collection.
How fun and fuzzy are these cute brads that I made using my i-top and a handfull of small and medium sized brads which I covered with terry-towelling fabric.
And how fabulous are the new Imaginisce Pop-Up Flowers - I have used the Pop-up Posies 'Brights' to make the flowers on my layout with a helping hand from the 'Petal Roller' tool which also has a quilling tool on one end so I set to task making some white quilled leaves for my flowers.
These gorgeous new products from Imaginisce are due to ship mid October so be on the look out!

Now, If you'd like to join in the fun and have a chance to win a fabulous prize just for leaving a comment then here's what you need to do. Firstly you have to leave a comment on the Imaginisce blog to be eligible, then to add to your chances of winning you can leave a comment on each of the participating design team members blogs as you stop by to see their amazing sketch samples. And to increase your odds even further stop by Imaginisce on facebook too! Goodluck and I can't wait to see those sketch layout entries coming in, don't forget you have until the 25th October!
From farm to you...

Now in response to Ashley's question (I've already sent you an email) re: the tiny words at the bottom of the layout: I have used Adorn-It 'Carolee's Creations' Tiny Sunshine mini alpha stickers and the black larger word is a rub-on from the Imaginisce 'To Love & Cherish' collection.
