Now, just a brief explanation as to some of my absence... sadly we have just farewelled my husbands' grandfather and the children's great grandfather who passed away peacefully at the glorious age of 101. Although it was sad to lose him, it gave us a chance to celebrate and reflect on his long and fulfilling life.
Now back to craftiness... today I have a Jillibean Soup layout using one of my all time favourite photos and also words to one of my favourite childhood songs. I bet you can't help yourself and start singing he he
Actually I think I have a photo like this with each of the three kids as they always loved being snuggled up with their Dad. Whereas snuggling with mum usually meant 'food'.
I tried something a little quirky with this layout and cut different size circular masks complete with trees, fences, grass etc. On paper it looked like a good idea as I designed each of the layers to lay over the top of the next, but putting it into practice was a whole lot harder than I had imagined. Let's just say, this is perhaps a one-off experiment!
However, I do love making up little scenes with flowers, trees, buildings etc so I finished the layout on a happier note.
