Shrinky Dinks...

Saturday, February 27, 2010

Okay, the New Year's resolution is coming along nicely [trying all things new]... I came across 'Shrinky Dinks' the other day and thought "I remember these, as kids we used to makes shrinkies and put them in the oven and be amazed as they shrunk... especially Twistie packets".
So home I trundled and sat down for a major play. I stamped away merrily onto the 'shrinky dinks' plastic with the cute little Imaginisce stamps from 'Lucy Bird' and 'Scooter's Vacation' and then coloured them in with Bic permanent markers. In the oven for a couple of minutes and I had instant charms for my bookmarks. Mind you, my daughter now has a seriously cute pair of Scooter's Vacation earings and a few charms hanging off her school bag.

  5. What a FABULOUS idea for the Imaginisce stamps!! Okay, I really have to find some of that Shrinky Dinks plastic. My kids love Shrinky Dinks, but we just buy the pre-designed ones. They would love to make their own!
