Have you ever come across a new collection and just known in an instant what you were going to do and what pics you were going to use... As soon as I laid eyes on the brand new summer collection 'Splash Dance' from Imaginisce I knew it was going to become my newest 'favourite' product range and I had been saving a few photos for this very moment.
This pic is of my very athletic niece (gymnast) who decided to do a 'Toyota' leap on the beach for me over the Christmas holidays, great pose! I had been dying to do the layout and knew just how I wanted to put it together, so when I was priviledge to receive a wonderful bundle of Core'dinations card packs the splashes fell in to place.
Now, I will be the first to admit, I haven't really had the opportunity to use Core'dinations before but I am seriously hooked now... it is amazing! The different textures, and effects you can achieve are wonderful for enhancing any layout as cardstock doesn't always have to be in the background as your backing sheet. I've used it for the main centrepiece of the layout and it made the perfect statement! And can you believe it, I even quilled some of the mini splashes with 'cardstock'!
Now this little beach baby is my precious daugter who is now 10... gotta love the pink frilly suit with her QuickSilver cap to which I added a flower from the Splash Dance Rub-ons (just to make it match LOL)! Again I have dabbled in a paper rolling technique and my daughter said "gee Mum, that's clever, you've put me on a beach towel"... didn't quite see it like that!
Core'dinations have a very classy new range of cardstock called 'gemstones - The Crown Jewels of Cardstock' to which I will become a very loyal follower. It has a satin like sheen to one side and comes in a beautiful range of colours that were perfectly matched to 'Splash Dance'. It was also great to roll and kept its shape.
Now who can resist those little sea creatures. Just wait until you see the 'Snag Em' stamps for this line... awwww! I've given them pearl bubbles to blend in with the coral that I fussy-cut from the Core'dinations 'Gemstones', the pic above shows off the sheen which is really pretty!
To celebrate the Splash Dance product launch, Imaginisce are having another 'Release Party' on their blog and they are giving away... you guessed it! Splash Dance!
And be sure to stay tuned for next weeks product swap with Imaginisce and Core'dinations where you will get to see some amazing creativity using each other's products by the DT teams. You might even get to see my finished layout using the 'yellow rose'!
From farm to you...
