I have moments like that quite often as I'm limited to when I can scrap and it is usually quite late at night when the rest of the household are in bed and I'm tired myself. So, sometimes it is nice to grab a sketch and be thankful that someone else has gone to the trouble of working out what size pics to use and how many, where you place your embellishments, where to put the title and journalling... ahhhh nothing beats a good sketch!
This week my DT assignment for Pebbles was to create a layout using a wonderful sketch designed and supplied by Becky Fleck at PageMaps.
Now, I decided as soon as I saw this sketch that I wasn't going to deviate too far from the original design as I figured that the fabulous Becky Fleck had obviously gone to allot of trouble to create a perfectly balanced and unique sketch! And I was tired and the thinking power was limited!
Once again I have dragged out my favourite little punch which is worth it's weight in gold as it has punched more tiny flowers than I'm sure it was originally designed to do. This is the second layout I have made using the combination of Pebbles 'New Arrival' collection and my flower punch along with the gorgeous baby photos of 'Lily' who is the long awaited daughter of a friend. And here is the first layout I made for Lily's Christmas present.
Don't forget to pop over to the Pebbles blog today and see what other designers have done with the wonderful PageMaps sketch.

ReplyDeleteWOW! Don't you get thumb-cramps? Using that little punch 5 million times would put me in the looney bin. Yet, you're able to create art. Amazing! That little yummy baby was probably all the inspiration you really needed though-I can't believe a little sketch could prompt something so beautiful!
