My Little Shoebox was one of the first manufacturers I fell in love with.. why? Because of it's whimsical approach to each collection. I think the very first ranges that I just had to have were Imaginary Friends and All A flutter with all the gorgeous monsters and butterflies etc
(and I still have some left to pop in the give-away)!
(and I still have some left to pop in the give-away)!
And although the collections keep evolving they still have the whimsical appeal that captured me from the moment I stumbled across that first piece of paper. So today's projects are all about the whimsy and using the super fun 'Playtime' collection.
Now, is it just my son or is it most boys when it comes to taking action photos? Why does he have to do the opposite to what I want in a nice photo at the park? However, I got to have the last laugh plastering his little bottom all over the internet with this layout. :)
The 3D roll-up flowers come in a 12 x 12 sheet with every new collection and boast a wonderful array of double sided flowers and petals, clouds and banners and believe me, I use up almost every last piece.
Product list:
Playtime - 3D Roll-Up Flowers
Playtime - Sidewalk Chalk (11513)
Playtime - Sunnyside Up (11514)
Playtime - Hide n Seek (11512)
Playtime - Cardstock Stickers (11519)
Glitter Alphabet Stickers - Toffee (10123)
Fiskars Scallop Punch
Doodlebug mini alpha rub-ons
Playtime Treat Bag
Treat bags are so much fun to make and I find it far more satisfying to give a gift in a home-made package than to hand something over in it's original wrapping. You get a bigger smile from the recipient too!
How happy am I to have finally found a regular supplier (in Australia) of Hershey's Kisses... can't get enough of these little chocolate bites.
To make the little viewing window, I simply cut out the diamond shape and adhered a piece of thick clear acetate to the inside of the box then added the white cardstock to hide the lines and to create the kite effect.

And now for a little sneak peek of a project I created with the gorgeous new 'Lovely Day' collection and the tutorial is being showcased on the My Little Shoebox blog today which you can see HERE... It's something a little different, easy to make and super fun! I hope you like it!
GIVEAWAY TIME!!!
Now, I've just started the nesting process for the impending arrival of our newest addition which is due in about 3 weeks... no I'm not prepared!
So, the farmer suggested that I take a long hard look at all the scrapping boxes I have lying around filled with goodies... and yes, I had a quick look and he's right, it's time to make room for baby.
So does anyone have any spare room for some more product that they probably don't need but would love anyway??? You wouldn't believe what I've managed to find... there is over 40 patterned papers, 14 circle die-cut papers, rubber stamps, mini alphas, glitter alpha stickers, 12 x 12 packs of 3D roll-ups and die-cuts plus lots of cardstock stickers etc!!!
Here's what you need to do to enter:
- Head over to the My Little Shoebox blog HERE and become a follower
- Come back and leave a comment on this post
- Follow my blog if you don't already
- Spread the word by posting about the give-away on your blog,
facebook, Twitter etc
That's it!
