Stamp Casting Tutorial...

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

It's always such a nice combination to marry two companies into one product and none more so than Doodlebug and Hampton Arts. The result... a gorgeous selection of stamps! And today I'm going to share a fun technique that is not traditionally used with a stamp but works just as well and creates a unique embellishment for your project.

Stamp casting is simply using a stamp and making a cast to use as an embellishment on your projects and the floral heart above has been cast using tissue paper and the floral heart stamp from the Doodlebug/Hampton Art Love Life Collection.

This is my finished card complete with photo of Teddy and the stamp cast heart along with papers and embellishments from the new Snips and Snails collection at Doodlebug.

I must confess... this is my new favourite photo of Teddy, although I'm sure that I'll have another new favourite in the not too distant future! He is really starting to find joy in life after three months of colic which wasn't fun for him or for us... poor little man! So, it's lovely to finally have a photo with a smile!
