I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Today is our first day of 'nothing' since harvest began in October. We have been so busy for what seems an eternity that it is nice to stop and finally take a breath after the New Year rain put a halt on everything.
We have also had a house brimming with guests which has been lovely but exhausting. Fortunately the kids spent most of the time outside in the pool or down at the sandpit catching yabbies and fishing.
The rain, although unusual for this time of year, has been a welcome relief from the incredible heat over Christmas, however it hasn't done much for finishing the harvest as we still had approx 700 acres to strip. So frustrating at times!
The kids had a ball playing in the mud as it has been so dusty around here for so many years that mud was a real novelty. The laundry looked a little worse for wear once they had finished but I can't complain because it kept them happy and occupied for almost the entire day.
From farm to you...

Hiya, congrats on the Scrap and Craft with T DT announcement - I checked it out after my lovely former boss of the Heaven Sent design team, Ingeborg, made her announcement. Guess I'm doing a bit of a blog hop this afternoon and working my new year's resolution/word for the year 'connect' which include making sure I use my manners and leave a comment on every blog I visit! Looking forward to seeing your work!
