The good life...

Nothing beats a paddock of Canola in full bloom on a warm Spring day, the sun shining and the farm kids in relatively clean clothing with their hair almost tidy and their faces 'dirt free'! I took so many photos of them running through the paddock, riding the horse who insisted on eating the flowers, chasing the dog who got lost and could only be seen by the movement of the stalks and basically living up to their carefree nature and resistance of anything to do with "stand still and smile would you"!!!
However, there was the odd photo when I managed to capture them in a way that really showed their playful nature and love of life on the farm!
This layout was a joy to create as I was fortunate in having a wonderful sketch to work with. A good sketch makes all the difference in putting together a layout and there is one sketch designer that ticks all the boxes and I've been very fortunate to work with her sketches the past six months. Liz Qualman designs remarkable sketches that are used worldwide and she never ceases to amaze me with her latest creations. Every Sunday Liz reveals a new sketch and has guests who interpret her design into their own creations and today I'm one of three to be showcased on her blog which you will find HERE.
I have only just recieved my shipment of American Crafts and instantly fell in love with the 'City Park' collection, my goodness it has everything I adore in a design... gorgeous colour scheme, fun elements, repetitive flowers so you can cut them out and double or triple mount them for added dimension and most importantly a whimsical approach to the overall range!
Well I hope everyone has been having a wonderful weekend. We've just started the craziness of harvest so it will be heads down and bottoms towards the sky for the coming months. I promise to try and keep my blog updated but will probably be missing in action every now and again.

From farm to you...
