Hard CORE Crop...

Sunday, July 22, 2012

I have a couple of pieces to share today as part of the Coredinations very first Hard Core Crop. I seriously needed some inspiration so thought this would be an ideal opportunity to play along with the challenges. And of course, to enjoy using yummy cardstock.

I created this layout for Kristine Davidson's sketch challenge using Coredinations Core Essentials and Core Vintage... lots of sanding fun!

Products Used: CoreColor Essentials and Vintage Collections; Little Yellow Bicycle Hello Fall (Golden Flourish); Kaiser Rub-on Sentiments; Doodlebug Mini Pearls and Teeny Type; Greatest View Chevron Badges; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Cuttlebug Goochie Script Embossing Folder; Die-namics Die's Royal Leaves, Royal Rolled Rose, Mini Royal Roses, Chevron.

I'm enjoying using my new chevron die and love the contrast between the different sizes so chose to keep with the theme and used different textures of Core cardstock.

How amazing is the look of the darker colour showing through once the Core cardstock is embossed... so many possibilities.

My second challenge was the 'Strip it' challenge by Jennifer where we had to created a project using strips of Core cardstock. So, I grabbed out my favourite punch and ran with the strip theme, alternating three colours in the White Wash collection.

Products Used: Coredinations White Wash Collection, Fiskars Border Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, AC rub-on.

Well that's it for the creative part of my weekend. I'd hoped to do more but life got in the way. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

From farm to you...
