I will be the first to admit that I had never heard of the word 'ombre' until recently, especially when it came to the paper crafting industry. In my defence, I did understand the concept of gradient colour, I just didn't realise it came with a fancy name. Silly me!
Ombre: n. A French term meaning "shaded".
Usually a multi colored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark.

So here's my ombre inspired layout which is also featured on the Doodlebug blog today along with another wonderful ombre layout by the very talented Monique Liedtke.
I really love the Doodlebug paper frills as they come in a rainbow of colours but also differing shades within the one colour range. I also cut the little flowers from the floral paper frills strips to add to the branch and continue with the ombre effect of the layout.
This little guy is called 'Hootie' and comes from the super cute Doodle-Pops collection of dimensional cardstock stickers.
My funny little 'Teddy' who is now five months old... can you believe it? He really is so cute now that he's starting to smile after such a long battle with colic and reflux. The poor little guy didn't have much to be happy about for the first three months.
Supply List: Doodlebug Patterned Paper - Bumblebee Dot Grid, Tangerine Dot Grid, Beetleblack Dot Grid; Doodle-Pops 'Hootie'; Beetleblack Jack and Jill Rub-ons; Bumblebee and Beetleblack Type Cardstock Stickers; Bumblebee and Tangerine Paper Frills; Home Sweet Home Cling Stamps; Colorbox Bumblebee Stamp Pad.
