Let me just say... today is an exciting day as it is the beginning of my design team term with
Jillibean Soup and the first of the design team introductions on the
Jillibean blog. I was really thrilled to have been chosen for the 2013 team and can't wait to begin sharing new projects using the gorgeous Jillibean products... so let me begin by sharing my debut project - a layout of Teddy and his very first pony using the super sweet Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup collection!
Teddy was given this gorgeous knitted pony when he was born, by dear friends on a neighbouring farm. He was instantly taken by the adorable soft horse and used to stare at it whilst I was changing him, now that he's a little older he still loves it to bits but no longer stares at it... he chews it instead!
A new product to play with... I've never used epoxy buttons before until now and I must say, they are such versatile little things. Firstly the wood grain pattern and the colours are adorable and the fact that they are epoxy means they can be easily cut for different uses.
Now before I go I'd like to thank both Jill and Kimber for the warm welcome into the Jillibean Soup design team and I look forward to sharing more creations with everyone soon. Don't forget to head over to the
Jillibean Soup blog to see more projects from the new team members.
From farm to you...

ReplyDeleteMelinda, I absolutely love your LO! I love how you used the 1/2 buttons in the same hue as the paper in the negative space of the 1/2 circles and I love the stitching and the papers you used! I pinned this on my "Scrapbook LOs I love" board on Pinterest! Thanks so much for sharing and I can't wait to see your next project for Jillibean Soup!

ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute! He is soooo adorable and your LO and story are sweet together. I like those buttons and how you split them and set them into the paper squares. You always come up with such fun and unusual ways to use such a standard embellie. You really are a clever crafter!!! :)
