Remember me?

Saturday, February 1, 2014

Well hello there and Happy New Year to everyone - yes I'm still around and yes I've decided it's time to start blogging again. Firstly just a brief explanation of my absence... in November of last year I developed a pinched nerve in my neck that was pressing on my spine which basically left me paralised down the shoulder and arm with no feeling in half my hand or forearm. The pain was so immense that I was put on a cocktail of the most wonderful drugs (I say that with tongue in cheek) and spent the rest of November/December unable to function as a normal person and slightly high. Well recovery has been slow and although I am up and about and even shoveling tonnes of beans (that's another story entirely), I'm still finding it hard to sit for any length of time, sleep continues to evade me and the feeling hasn't fully returned to my hand or forearm.

So, with all that said, I haven't really done much in the way of scrapping but I do have a backlog of projects to share so will continue over the next week or so with a large game of catch-up.

Late last year I was given the opportunity to work with beautiful products from Elle's Studio thanks to the gorgeous Olga Day from Sassy Scrappers.

I have used the saltwater collection which has the sweetest confetti paper that was perfect for this fun layout of my daughter and her introduction to 'the selfie' since she was given her first phone.

I remember blowing paint splashes through a straw in primary school and yes I still had fun doing it, although I can't remember getting so light headed as a child.

I would love to say I used my Cameo to cut these leaves but I still haven't learnt to use it... all in good time.

Products Used:
Elle's Studio - Saltwater Collection
Jillibean Soup - Alphabeans
Doodlebug - Epoxy Sprinkles
Greatest View - Flair

Hope you continue to improve ( in health) as I also struggle with a pinched nerve in my lower back - not as bad as yours but really uncomfortable.
