#Cousins Layout Tutorial | Jillibean Soup

Sunday, May 18, 2014

Each month I put together a tutorial for the Jillibean Soup blog and recently my #Cousins layout was featured HERE so I thought it was time I also shared it on my own blog. Sometimes blogging lags behind because, well let's face it... life gets busy or unexpected things happen and no matter how organised we are, sometimes we just fall behind.

DESIGNED FOR | Jillibean Soup
PROJECT | #Cousins Layout with Tutorial

Firstly, I have to admit that I'm a sucker for grey so as soon as I spied this patterned paper from the new Spicy Social Soup collection I new it was going to be one of the first pieces I used. Then it was a matter of putting together a range of subtle hues to compliment the background colour. And so glad Jillibean have designed these cute little pre-cut doilies because they are the easiest things to use and they look wonderful. I've left mine white but that doesn't mean to say you can't go a little crazy and add some colour.

It's been a while, actually it's been a very long while since I dragged the good old retro flower punch out of its hidey hole. I remember cursing myself the last time I used it and a blister surfaced on my thumb... and I also vaguely remember saying I would never do this again! How quickly I forget.

You can view the full tutorial on this layout at the Jillibean Soup blog HERE!
