The humble tag may be small and relatively insignificant until you have a gift that requires one and there's none to be found in your stash. And yes you can search through every hidey-hole in the house but you won't find one when you need it the most. It's Melinda with you today and I'm going to share how I created a series of tags using the brand new 'Mix the Media' Ephemera packs.
Now what's not to love about new products? The latest Jillibean Soup haul includes four different ephemera packs which are loaded with goodies of all shapes and sizes... I found them slightly impossible to resist as they were perfect for my tag-athon!
Blue Ephemera Pack...
Cream Ephemera pack...
Green Ephemera Pack...
To begin the process I simply cut patterned paper to match the shape of the Kraft tag then added some texture paste circles using the new Jillibean stencils. Set aside to dry.
Using my craft knife I gently peeled the eyelets off each of the kraft tags and set aside.
Once the texture paste was completely dry I used foam pop dots to adhere each of the patterned cardstock pieces to the tags and trimmed the top corners to align with the tag.
Each eyelet was replaced back in position on the top layer of the tag.
I chose a piece of patterned cardstock from each of the ephemera packs to create an embossed flower using a metal die and my hand embossing machine.
To piece the flower together I simply added a foam pop dot in between each of the layers and added a small bow to the button using cotton thread. Let the decorating begin!
