Happy Saturday/Sunday depending on where you are in the world. It's World Card Making Day/Weekend and for the first time ever I have sat down at my desk and made something during daylight hours. To be honest it felt very strange and almost like being a bit naughty! So as soon as I've finished this post I'd better go and clean something or hang out some more washing.
DESIGNED FOR | Jillibean Soup
PROJECT | World Card Making DayWHERE DID THE IDEA COME FROM? | I was happily pinning some beautiful decorated cakes on Pinterest and this particular cake caught my eye and I immediately had an idea for my card.

TIP | I decided to use the new 'Wire Words' from Jillibean Soup but really liked how the cake design used gold lettering so I grabbed out my gold spray paint and raced outside with the wire word 'family'. It didn't take long to dry and now I have some really pretty gold leaves on my lemon tree.
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION | I cannot recommend more highly Tombow's Metal Liquid Glue for adding the Wire Words to your projects. It dries really quickly and sets your piece permanently so make sure it's exactly where you want it to be.
Now, Jillibean Soup have just joined Instagram http://instagram.com/jillibeansoup so make sure you head over there and follow them to find out all about the fun they have been having today and throughout the weekend. Also, they'd love to see your beautiful cards so if you have used Jillibean Soup products then hashtag them to #JillibeanSoup.
Love that wire sentiment!
ReplyDeleteum hello.....this is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGOrgeous! Loooved seeing how you got your inspiration...& that's a great hint re: the Tombow, too:):)
ReplyDeleteThis card is so pretty! Love all the punched flowers and the colors you used!
ReplyDeleteAhhh.. the little punch is back. You make the most amazing things. This is just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteJealous you are out in the garden, hanging out your laundry. Amazing how fast this weather turned. We had to dig out winter coats, hats and mittens, which is really early. Fall didn't last long here. The days of fall being through November like years past are gone. I like my 16 yr old's idea to get dual citizenship and live down there from October to May and then come back home when you hit winter. LOL
Ah true Melinda!! Glorious!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Tombow tip...but I am rather hopeless at making wire words...my friend has done it for me up til now! Hehehe.
You nailed it! You are definitely the queen of repeated rows of tiny flowers or die cuts. Thanks for the tip about the glue :)
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Melinda. And I know what you mean about feeling guilty about scrapping in daylight hours - lol!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant, Melinda!
