Now you see me...

Scrapping boys!!! Is it just me or does anyone else find it more of a challenge to be creative when it comes to the little boys in our lives? I've never been afraid of putting flowers on a baby boy layout but the older they get the less I feel I can get away with the floral approach. Fortunately flowers seem to have taken a back seat in the 'trend' department of late and we have more focus on colours, patterns and embellishments that are perfect for both our daughters and our sons.

Today the Doodlebug Blog is sharing projects from the design team that take on a masculine spin. Now Teddy is only a toddler so I can't really say he fits into the 'masculine' department (yet) but I did create a layout using boyish colours, a cute little aeroplane and lots of stars from the 'Stars & Stripes' Collection.

Ted had such a lovely time playing 'now you see me... now you don't' in the ski tube when we were out at the lake for a day's water skiing . I placed him in the tyre to keep him from wandering near the water and because he was having so much fun he didn't realise he was being held captive.

I hand stitched the aeroplane trail which was a replica of the detail on the 'freedom flight' patterned paper which created a frame around the photos and the heading.

  2. Awesome layout!! I have five boys and they ALL hate it if I add flowers to their layouts....lol. I find boy layouts easier and more fun tho because I an get messy with paint and use things I might otherwise throw away for embellishments.
